TCFR 2012 Conference – Positive Family Interactions

The Outstanding Student Paper Competition offers a $100 cash award at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. All papers submitted will be reviewed for presentation as posters at the conference (although student authors may choose to decline if their papers are accepted for poster presentation). The two Paper Award Winners will present their papers at the state conference in San Antonio. The graduate student paper will also be entered in the National Council on Family Relations Outstanding Student Paper competition. The NCFR national award winners will receive cash awards to assist them in attending the next national conference.
Purpose: Each year, the Texas Council on Family Relations invites students to submit a paper for consideration in TCFR’s annual student paper competition. One award each will be given for the most outstanding undergraduate and graduate paper. Papers will also be considered for a poster presentation at the annual conference, although students may decline to present, if chosen.
Student Eligibility: Students must attend the San Antonio TCFR Conference,
March 29 – 30, 2012.
Award: Each student winner will receive a $100 prize. Winners will be asked to give a 5-10 minute oral presentation during the TCFR Conference in San Antonio, TX. In addition, the graduate student winner’s paper will be forwarded to the National Council on Family Relations’ student paper competition, which includes at $500 award to the winner.
Deadline: Papers must be received by December 9, 2011. Winners will be notified by the end of January, 2012.
